Back in the 1980, I started learning about Dungeons and Dragons through friends of mine from Atlanta and then later on, it was Villains and Vigilantes just to change things up, but it made the summer so much fun.  Opening top a new level of creativity and imagination as my friends and I worked on various stories that revolved around the characters we all created.  One evening, we were gaming late ... their grandparents had gone out for the evening and I was hanging out since my folks were interested in taking some time out to spend time for themselves.  The uncle who got stuck with watching us decided to make some pancakes which was funny since the guys were finishing off the leftover spaghetti from earlier ... I think we broke at the start of the moat house from the infamous Village of Hommlet which was the start of The Temple of the Elemental Evil for the spaghetti dinner.  Because we were unfocused teenagers and having so much fun too, it took us about four or five hours to get to the end of the module ... probably because we kept on having to go back to the town for healing.  Nevertheless, it was about 1 am when we finished up.  The cool uncle decided to make pancakes, as I mentioned earlier, and that started a sort of tradition with gaming for the Atlanta group.  After an outrageous rampage of RPing, we would have pancakes (sometimes with eggs and bacon or sausage, depending on the stocking of the refrigerator.)

Years later at my trailer off of Dean Forest Road here in Savannah (though it was officially in Garden City, sort of on the border of Pooler, Garden City, and Savannah ... a Crossroads so to speak), I continued the tradition when money was good to make up a batch of pancakes for the gang of SCAD students (Savannah College of Art and Design.)  Though with the opening the Waffle House down the street, we often went there for food after a late night, sometimes from gaming and sometimes through a group of drawing and watching anime either at my place or one of the other fellows.

With the Saturday Night Group, we don't do it since it's often too late for most of the fellows, though often the Left Fielder and I stop off at the Waffle House down the way from my place.  Steak and eggs for myself and with him ... it's often something that strikes his fancy.  Nevertheless, it makes me think and remember those days with such fondness.

So, for the stories, especially in the RP on F-List, Ricochet KaBoom! (My Main OC these days!) often talks about the Pancake Parties that she will throw for the people who stay over at the townhouse after a long night of tabletop game sessions ...

Over the years, I have gotten a few pieces (seen above) of their times as tabletop gaming, something that I'm still doing and it's still a blast, perhaps even mores than ever before.  With the right group, these times are made even more fun ... and we have quite the group as well as good and solid fellowship.  Since I'm so blessed, I figure not just to share that fun with you the good folk out there, but also have it flow over into Ricochet KaBoom!'s story.
